Northland School Division No. 61 is looking for an advocate for indigenous education and a supporter of FNMI language and culture. The division is accepting applications for a full time Human Resources Administrator based out of our central office in Peace River, Alberta.

The Human Resources Administrator is responsible for coordinating the day to day operations of the department, including generating all correspondence and documentation to ensure accurate payroll operation for all staff. This position is also responsible for the daily monitoring of the PowerSchool staff attendance management system.

The successful candidate will have regular liaison with the Alberta School Employee Benefit Plan regarding implementation of the Board’s benefit plan as well as other agencies such as the Local Authorities Pension Plan, Alberta Teachers’ Retirement Fund, Alberta Teacher Certification and the Alberta Teachers’ Association.

The candidate will be familiar with all Human Resources policies, the financial terms of the organization, Alberta Employment Standards and other government regulations. Strong interpersonal skills, excellent computer skills and proven organizational skills with the ability to interpret and administer the Division’s Human Resources policies is required.

The salary range for this position is $67,666.00 to $92,697.00 plus a comprehensive benefit package.
