NSD mourning loss of Gift Lake educator

It is with great sadness to learn about the loss of a person who impacted so many Northland School Division students. Sandra Anderson, who worked for 17 years at the Headstart program in Gift Lake, passed away at the age of 65 years.
Sandra was the first educator many Gift Lake students connected with on their educational journey. Throughout her life, Sandra developed many close relationships and had an exceptional ability to make everyone around her feel special. Sandra was also known for coming up with nicknames for people. It was her way of saying I love you.
Even when Sandra was diagnosed with cancer, she never let it affect her passion for education and the love she shared towards family and friends.
The entire Northland team will miss Sandra very much. Our thoughts are with Sandra’s family, as well as all of the students and families affected.
