Northland congratulates Murray Marran on being appointed Superintendent/CEO of High Prairie School Division

The Board and Administration of Northland School Division would like to congratulate Associate Superintendent of Human Resources, Murray Marran, on being appointed the new Superintendent/CEO of High Prairie School Division.
“While today’s announcement is bittersweet for Northland, Murray has accumulated many years of educational leadership experience and has earned the opportunity to become a Superintendent/CEO,” said Dr. Nancy Spencer-Poitras, Superintendent of Schools/CEO. It was an absolute pleasure to work with Murray. He truly made a difference during his time with Northland School Division.”
During his tenure with Northland School Division, Murray has done a tremendous job of enhancing processes within Human Resources, recruiting and retaining talented staff, and played a key role in developing strategies to improve workflow between central office staff and schools.
“On behalf of the Board of Trustees, I want to thank Murray for everything you have done to help Northland students achieve success,” said Cathy Wanyandie. “The Board wishes you all the best in your new role as Superintendent/CEO of High Prairie School Division.”
Murray’s last day with Northland School Division is August 11, 2023. He will assume full responsibility as Superintendent of High Prairie School Division on September 1, 2023.
