Northland Online School launches summer program for 2025

Northland Online School is offering Summer School from July 7 to Aug. 1, 2025. The program is designed for high school students who want to catch up, move ahead, or earn additional credits during the summer.
Who can register
Summer School is open to Alberta high school students who are 19 years of age or younger. Grade 9 students may also register. All students, including those already enrolled with Northland School Division, must complete a separate registration form.
How the program works
Courses are delivered fully online. There are no live Zoom classes. Students work independently and at their own pace. Teachers are available Monday to Thursday through daily virtual office hours to support students with questions or assignments.
Courses offered
- Core subjects: English, social studies, math and science
- CALM
- Physical education 10, 20 or 30
- Forensics 25 and 35
- Food Handling certification
- Workplace safety systems (HCS 3000)
- Workplace safety practices (HCS 3010)
- Job preparation (CTR 1010)
- Registered Apprenticeship Program (RAP) and work experience
How to register
The deadline to register is Monday, July 7, 2025. Students can access the registration form by visiting the Northland Online School website at www.northlandonlineschool.ca/summer-school-2025.
All students must submit a completed registration form along with a copy of their birth certificate.
Chromebooks are available for students who need one.
