Amy Savill appointed Acting Associate Superintendent

Northland School Division (NSD) is pleased to announce the appointment of Amy Savill as Acting Associate Superintendent, effective August 15, 2025.

Before stepping into this new role, Amy served as Director of Engagement and High School Completion. She has been part of the NSD family since 2008, when she began her teaching journey as a student teacher at Bishop Routhier School.

Following her student teaching, Amy taught at Gift Lake School, working with elementary and junior high students. In 2010, she joined Anzac Community School – Bill Woodward School, where she served as both a teacher and administrator for 14 years.

“Amy is an exceptional leader who consistently goes above and beyond to support student success here at Northland School Division,” said Cal Johnson, Superintendent of Schools/CEO. “Given her experience and proven dedication, I am confident that she will thrive as Acting Associate Superintendent."

Amy completed a Master of Education with a specialization in educational leadership from the University of Calgary. She also holds a Bachelor of Science from the Nova Scotia Agricultural College and a Bachelor of Education from the University of Alberta. She is currently working on a second master’s degree, with a focus on math and literacy.

In her role as Acting Associate Superintendent, Amy will oversee literacy and numeracy, student attendance, and high school completion.
